After Fahai inveigled Xu Xian to Jinshan Temple and forced him to become a monk, the White Lady (White Snake) and Xiaoqing (Green Snake) came to the temple to bring Xu Xian back, which caused conflict between the two sides. Fahai resorted to the Four Heavenly Kings, and Xiaoqing asked for help from the Water Gods, thus the Jinshan Temple was flooded during the fight.
