It presents visitors some key works from outstanding artists in Sichuan since opening up and reform, and allows visitors to appreciate their pursuits in the fields of art, especially in contemporary painting, as well as the cultural spirits condensed across the ages and artists’ great achievements. The exhibition reveals the everlasting and profound influence of Sichuan contemporary paintings on the history of contemporary Chinese art, and some artists’ personal development. It also reflects some major characteristics of contemporary Chinese painting, underscores how Sichuan artists have excavated, condensed, and transformed the existing cultural experience within the backdrop of globalization, and manages to inspire us with unique art in Southwest China. Meanwhile, it provides us with the best practices and beneficial examples for exploring literary and artistic creations in a brand-new era.

The exhibition is hosted by the Chengdu Museum, co-organized by the Cover News, West China City Daily, Sichuan Culture Communication Co., Ltd., and supported by the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.
