The exhibition interpreted the pictures of modern traditional buildings taken in Guanghan by the Society for the Study of Chinese Architecture, trying to restore the real and vivid history through depicting the past townscape of a small city on the Chengdu Plain. Besides 122 old pictures of buildings in Guanghan taken by the Society for the Study of Chinese Architecture, the exhibition displayed 55 pieces (sets) of exhibits made from different materials. They are in various forms and closely related to the theme of the exhibition, including culture relics related to Guanghan history collected by Guanghan Cultural Relics Administration, building components of the Nanhua Palace, wood carvings collected by Chengdu Museum and shadow puppets collected by China Shadow Puppet Museum. The exhibition showed the townscape of Guanghan in a diversified way, presenting the beauty of traditional Chinese architecture and telling stories about the historical and cultural significance of ancient architecture.
